La Iglesia
El edificio de la Iglesia "Nuestra Señora de Lujan" es una construcción impulsada por la orden franciscana de los sacerdotes Emilio Favaratto y Feliciano Felice. Inaugurada el 19 de Noviembre de 1953, fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural Material por Ordenanza Municipal Nº 064/2010. Tiene el estilo arquitectónico que la identifica con otras iglesias del sur chileno, que también podemos encontrar en nuestras localidades de Los Cipreses y Carrenleufú.
Se destaca una gran torre y campanario central sobre el frente con techo de tejuelas de madera, una construcción con frente revestido de piedra y techo a dos aguas de chapa para el resto del edificio. En esta iglesia es interesante encontrar la imagen de una virgen de rasgos orientales traída de China, y también las imágenes de San Antonio y de San Francisco y de la Virgen de Luján.

The Church
The building for Nuestra Senora de Lujan Church is a construction encouraged by the Franciscan priests Emilio Favaratto and Feliciano Felice. It was inaugurated in 1953 and declared Cultural Heritage by the Municipal Ordinance Nº 064/2010. The architectonic style of this building shares identity with churches in the south of Chile, which can also be found in Argentina in the locations of Los Cipreses and Carrenleufú.
What stands out is a central high bell tower at the front, with wooden shingles roofing, a stone-clad front, and a gabled metal sheet roof for the rest of the building. In the Church it is interesting to find the image of a Virgin with oriental features brought from China, as well as images of Saint Antonio, Saint Francis and the Virgin of Luján.
Edificio adyacente a la iglesia
En el año 1960 se crea la Comisión Pro-Escuela Secundaria a instancias del padre Feliciano Felice y es presidida por el Ingeniero Slavko Hranilovic. En el año 1962 inicia las clases el Colegio Secundario Instituto José Manuel Estrada en el edificio adyacente a la iglesia. Su primer Rector fue el Padre Felice. En el año 1965 se crea el Ciclo Magisterio egresando su primera promoción en 1966. En el año 1978 se agrega el magisterio de Nivel Terciario y su primera promoción egresa en 1980.
Este mismo edificio albergó casi simultáneamente a la Escuela Industrial Regional Mixta N3, inaugurada el 22 de abril de 1962. Por falta de funcionalidad el 16 de marzo de 1965 comenzó a funcionar como Escuela Comercial Diurna N3. En 1987, la Escuela Primaria 318 hasta que pudo mudarse a su nuevo edificio propio en el año 2009. Actualmente aquí funciona la Sede Andina de la Universidad Nacional de Rio Negro.

The building next to the Church
In the year 1960 the Pro-high School Commission was created promoted by Father Feliciano Felice and presided by the engineer Slavko Hranilovic. In the year 1962 the José Manuel Estrada Secondary School starts. Father Felice was its first Headmaster. In the year 1965 the teaching cycle was added that produced the first graduates in 1966. In the year 1978 the Education Tertiary Teaching Degree was created, and the first promotion graduated in 1980.
This same building held almost simultaneously the Regional Industrial School Nº3, inaugurated on April 22nd, 1962. Lacking functionality, it became the Commerce Day School Nº3 on March 16th, 1965. In 1987, the Primary School Nº318 was here until it could move to its new building in 2009. The building is now the seat of the Río Negro National University.
